Holly Pond, Alabama is a small town, in Cullman County and is the 308th largest community in the state. Holly Pond Fire & Rescue provides emergency services to the community and law enforcement is provided by the Cullman County Sherriff's Department. Holly Pond is a lower-middle income community compared to state standards and low-income compared to federal standards. Approximately 14'% of all adults in Holly Pond have four-year degrees or better. Jet Prep, a petroleum and gas company with stations statewide, was founded in Holly Pond and remains headquartered there.

The area that would become Holly Pond was settled in the early 1840s and the budding community was named after its two ponds and countless holly trees. Formal land claims in the area did not occur until the mid-1850s. These official claims were spurred by the arrival of the railroad which began claiming sections of land. In 1888, the growing town established a post office to serve its residents and by 1896 the community had a school, a variety of stores and two doctors. The community was incorporated in 1906. Holly Pond was the childhood home of famous instrument maker Arlin Moore and former governor Guy Hunt. Today, Holly Pond is a small, but thriving community with a warm atmosphere and strong sense of community pride.

The town spans approximately 4.46 square miles of beautiful Alabama landscape. The community is growing both in terms of population but also in the strength of the local economy.

Holly Pond is part of the Cullman County School District and it has three public schools, Holly Pond Elementary, Holly Pond Middle and Holly Pond High School. The schools share a campus nestled right in the center of town. The town has a strong sense of community pride and it annually hosts a wonderful Founder's Day Celebration. Every August, the streets in the center of town are filled with carnival games, crafts and booths, contests and more.
