Vinemont is a medium-sized community that has portions that are both incorporated and unincorporated. The community, in general, is called Vinemont and the incorporated portion is known as South Vinemont. It is located about seven miles north of the city of Cullman. Vinemont is the 53rd largest community in the state, has low crime rates and is generally peaceful and quiet.

The community within a community is South Vinemont which was incorporated in 1961. South Vinemont spans .88 square miles. In 2007, South Vinemont had a population of 425, and in 2010 it had risen to 749. Vinemont is an upper-middle income community when compared to state economic standards and a solidly middle-income community when compared to national economic standards. These figures show marked growth  regarding both population and local economy.

Public education in Vinemont and South Vinemont is provided by the schools of the Cullman County School District. Schools within Vinemont include Vinemont Elementary, Vinemont Middle School, Vinemont High School and others. It has southern charm and small town appeal nestled near big city conveniences. Several notable people have called Vinemont home, including James E. Martin, the president of Auburn University from 1984-1992 and southern gospel singer Charles “Rusty” Goodman.

The community is perfect for singles, couples, and growing families as well as residents of all ages. It features peaceful, quiet streets, good schools and plenty of room to run.
